Evidence Informed Approaches to Literacy for Children with Autism who are Minimally Verbal November 2024

£10.00

The aim of this course is to introduce practitioners to what research can tell us about the reading potential for children with autism who are minimally verbal.

You will be invited to reflect on your own (and your school’s) literacy practices and arrangements for supporting the reading and communication skills of children who are minimally verbal, considering some of the barriers that can present challenges for teaching and learning reading skills.

There will be an opportunity to consider the ways in which we can support the reading skills of children with autism who are minimally verbal across the curriculum, with opportunities to further develop your own classroom practice.

For those attending both sessions a CPD certificate will be given on completion of a feedback form.
